From Ink to Steel, Deejo Continues Its Artistic Saga with Kalie.
01/04/2026
Deejo unveils its ninth artistic collaboration as part of the partnership launched with Tatouages Magazine, under the direction of Mikael de Poissy. For the past two years, this program has brought together twelve of the world’s most talented tattoo artists around a singular creative canvas: the Deejo blade.
In 2026, it’s Kalie’s turn to imprint her graphic universe onto the iconic knives of the French brand, transforming these slender steel surfaces into striking territories of expression.
A tattoo artist for eighteen years, Kalie has carved out her place in a field long shaped by traditionally masculine codes. Her journey reflects a constant drive to broaden the possibilities of the craft: from high-energy reinterpretations of neo-traditional Japanese styles to ultra-realism of remarkable precision, she has continually explored, experimented, and pushed techniques forward. Featured across radio and television, she has helped elevate tattooing as an art form in its own right—one carried with both pride and rigor.
Deejo x Kalie — 37g knife, grey titanium finish, ebony wood handle €89.90 (incl. VAT).
For Deejo, Kalie has created an exclusive tattoo whose composition immediately asserts her graphic temperament: a balance between strength and finesse, between the density of the line and the breathing space of the form. The design respects the visual lightness that defines Deejo knives, allowing the blade to retain its fluidity while expressing a distinctly contemporary character.
The Deejo x Kalie model will be released as a time-limited edition, available for six months beginning April 1, 2026—a deliberately controlled availability, faithful to the spirit of previous collaborations.
With this new signature, Deejo continues its dialogue with leading figures of the international tattoo scene. One blade. One line. One encounter. And proof that a knife can, in the most demanding sense of the term, become a truly singular piece.
The little story of tattooing
For a long time on the periphery of Western culture, tattooing is no longer the sole purview of the sailors and the sacred. Practiced throughout time and all over the world, the art of tattooing (from the Polynesian Tatau) dates back to 1300 BCE, in which colouring the skin marked the important stages of life.
In the Middle Ages and until the end of the 19th century, tattooing, considered a pagan practice, was banned by the Church everywhere in Europe. It then became the tradition of mariners as well as prisoners, for the latter in particular in Russia where inmates did not hesitate.
The tattoo in the Western world, long reserved for those at society’s margins, including gangs and bad boys, established itself in the 1980s in pop culture, promoted by rock stars, punk and rap music
Tatouage magazine
This collaboration wouldn’t have been possible without Tatouages Magazine, which proposed to Deejo to gather over 2 years, twelve of the world’s most famous tattoo artists around an exclusive collection that showcases the talent of these extraordinary artists every 2 months on the blades of Deejo knives. After Tin-Tin, Maud Dardeau, Jondix, Filip Leu, Diego Moraes, Guen Douglas, Mikael de Poissy et Wazzim Razzouk, Deejo and Tatouages Magazine invite you to visit their respective websites and the latest issue of the magazine to discover the behind-the-scenes of this extraordinary collection imagined by Kalie.
