What type of steel is used to make our knives?
We use several types of steel according to our models:
- Pocket Deejo: Z40C13
- Deejo 390g: 3CR13
- Table Deejo: 2CR14
- Paring Deejo: 2CR14
We use the Hardness Rockwell C-scale to assess the strength of our blades. The hardness of our pocket knives is high strength (HRC 54-56) and offers a sturdy cut, efficient on various types of materials (paper, rope, food). Our table knives are more flexible (HRC 52-54), and are specifically designed to be used during meals.
In both cases, we choose our steel with care to guarantee you a strong and resilient blade, but also easy to handle and simple to sharpen.
